Dangers of the Avian Flu
Dangers of the Avian Flu The United States of America is one of the greatest countries on this planet but let’s face it, government officials in the US only tell you what they want you to know. The greatest dangers in the world could be looming and you wouldn’t know it because unless you are on the inside of the government, you are privy to the information. Other governments operate much in the same way so before you resent the land that you are in; understand that it is the way of all governments in most all of the countries on the planet. That is one reason that pandemics have always been able to get out of control so easily. Wide-spread flu, as well as other dangers to large numbers of individuals has been very well guarded secrets until it’s too late. In the 1980s the CDC, as well as many government agencies, chose not to release everything they knew about a little known virus that later was dubbed as the HIV virus which causes AIDS. No one seemed to care in these agencies that while officials were not going public with what they knew, more and more people became infected with the virus. The public was outraged when they learned of the true core of not only the virus but also the fact that millions of lives possibly could have been saved if precautions had been announced early into the learning stages of what the CDC believed was the cause of the virus. Information and a very informed public would have and could have saved many lives. It makes you wonder about the Avian Flu. Even though supposedly the avian flu doesn’t infect human beings, the fact still remains that this flu that doesn’t infect humans has still infected more than 100 people since the year of 1997. The strand that is documented is Avian Flu A Virus. Since 1997, the confirmed cases of the avian flu have been documented but almost overlooked because no one wants to see the seriousness in this possible flu pandemic. The areas where the avian flu was recorded might surprise some people in the United States who think they were never at risk. Sure the reports from Hong Kong and China have been documented and it is a known fact that avian flu was present in those countries. However, the states of New York and Virginia in 2002 and 2003 each had one confirmed case of a strain of the avian flu. The reported symptoms seem to range from fever to sore throat, cough and muscle aches as well as pneumonia and eye infections. Wild birds worldwide carry this avian flu in their intestines and the interesting thing is that no one knew much about it until there was a pandemic brewing. That’s because bird intestines of wild game is seldom of interest to the average adult. However, that may suddenly change with the world-wide interest in the bird flu. Avian flu has taught many people a variety of things in regards to not only the avian flu but also other pandemic potential threats and that is that no one is safe and no one holds all the facts. Even the governments which hide very important facts in regards to the various health issues can barely help their own much less everyone else and yet no one will share all that they know on this pandemic waiting to erupt. The avian flu may not break out and kill hundreds of thousands of people but it has brought into light the fact that flu similar to (if not) the avian flu definitely holds the potential to do it.
